Originally issued in 1990, Miho Nakayama’s 12th original studio album finally arrives on vinyl for the very first time — presented as a premium 45 RPM double-disc set to capture its full sonic warmth and clarity.
The album’s title, a fusion of the English word “Jewel” and the Latin “Luna” (meaning “moon”), reflects its luminous, romantic mood. Co-produced by Goro Matsui — who penned lyrics for seven of the ten tracks — and Miho Nakayama herself, who contributed lyrics and music for “Kuchibiru,” “Soshite Sono Natsu,” and “Tengoku he no Kagi,” the record shines as one of her most personal and mature works.
Among the highlights are the album version of the single “Megami-tachi no Bouken”, released simultaneously with the original CD, and “Korekara no I Love You”, composed by Kenjiro Sakiya, later issued as a single in 1991. Additional compositions from Hideo Saito, Kenji Hayashida, Keizo Nakanishi, and Takao Konishi infuse the album with stylistic diversity and freshness.
Opening with Nakayama’s own “Kuchibiru,” which conjures the scent of a summer breeze, the album flows through sophisticated pop gems like “Yaban na Houseki” and “Shiroi Suna no La Mer,” the latter accented by a light bossa nova touch.
Carrying on the seasonal elegance of her earlier works “Summer Breeze” (3rd album) and “Mind Game” (7th album), this release stands as a radiant celebration of summer, love, and musical artistry — a long-awaited treasure now beautifully reborn on vinyl.
