Originally released in 2013 as Junk Fujiyama’s first major album under Victor, this 2LP black vinyl edition captures the sophisticated groove and vibrant energy of Japan’s modern city pop revival.

After debuting independently in 2009, Fujiyama’s soulful voice caught the attention of legendary drummer Shuichi “Ponta” Murakami, who assembled an elite lineup of session musicians to bring these songs to life. The album features performances by Kiyotsugu Amano (G), Tsuyoshi Kon (G), Akira Okazawa (B), Masanori Sasaji (Key), Akira Inoue (Key), and Nov Saito (Per)—a true all-star ensemble of Japanese music.

Blending the warm textures of AOR, the smooth sophistication of crossover jazz, and the infectious rhythms of funk, this release defines Junk Fujiyama’s signature “junk-style” city pop sound. Highlights include the extended version of his major debut single “Ano Sora no Mukougawa e”, alongside fan favorites “PROUD/EGAO” and “Sheldal.”
