Waxwork Records, in partnership with Independent Film Company, presents the original score to The Plague, composed and performed by Johan Lenox. Premiering at Cannes to an 11-minute standing ovation, the film follows a socially anxious boy at an all-boys water polo camp who becomes caught in a disturbing tradition as the line between ritual and reality dissolves.

Lenox’s score heightens the film’s raw, tense atmosphere with percussion, solo strings, and dense vocal layers, capturing both the vulnerability and the simmering menace at the story’s core. In the included liner notes, Lenox reflects on the project’s primal, Lord of the Flies–like energy and why it became his first feature film score.
