Introduced in 2012, the “100% Pure LP” series set a new benchmark for modern high-end vinyl made in Japan. Its defining feature is the use of uncolored virgin vinyl, free from carbon and other additives that can cloud sound quality. Instead, each disc is pressed from pure PVC, ensuring exceptional molding stability and remarkable sonic transparency.
This edition also employs the rare and prestigious direct metal master pressing method. Unlike traditional production that relies on a metal mother and stamper, this technique presses directly from the metal master itself, achieving precision groove formation and unparalleled fidelity. Due to limited durability of the master, only a small number of pressings can be produced.
For this release, the original US analog master tape was newly transferred into 96kHz/24bit WAV files and mastered with minimal processing to maintain the recording’s natural dynamic range and intimate atmosphere. The album is also cut at 45 RPM, allowing wider grooves and faster rotational speed for superior detail, clarity, and presence—presented across 2 LPs for optimal playback quality.
Every stage of production—from source transfer to vinyl formulation to cutting and pressing—has been executed with meticulous care. The result is a remarkably pure, elegant listening experience that preserves the warmth of analog while revealing new layers of depth and definition.
