Grammy Award-winning composer Christopher Tin sets the tone with the stirring new main theme “Live Gloriously”, performed in Ancient Greek, Old English, K’iche’, and Sanskrit by the Crouch End Festival Chorus. Tin, whose “Baba Yetu” (from Civilization IV) became the first video game composition to win a Grammy, once again delivers a globally inspired anthem worthy of the series.
The score is further enriched by the work of Civilization veterans Geoff Knorr and Roland Rizzo, who have crafted immersive music cues performed by ensembles and soloists around the world. Recordings feature the Prague FILMharmonic Orchestra and Choir, Ensemble I Fedeli, the Mongolian State Morin Khuur Ensemble, Southern Pine Drum Group, Wong Pleng Khmer, and many others—capturing the diverse musical traditions that reflect humanity’s vast history.
