Awich, an artist whose vision continues to expand on a global scale, has unveiled a boundary-crossing album entirely produced by RZA of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan. After forming an instant connection several years ago, the two strengthened both their creative and spiritual ties by visiting each other’s roots—Okinawa and the Wu Mansion—while bringing this powerful collaboration to life.

Embodied by the single “Wax On Wax Off,” built around a sample of Meiko Kaji’s “Jeans Blues” and featuring A$AP Ferg and Lupe Fiasco, the project seamlessly blends Eastern sensibilities with the core essence of New York hip-hop. Alongside RZA, the album brings together heavyweights such as Joey Bada$$ and Westside Gunn, as well as forward-thinking voices like 454 and MIKE. Rapping primarily in English, Awich delivers commanding performances, matching lyrical precision with the energy of some of today’s most influential MCs.

Beyond its star-studded lineup, the album stands out for its thematic weight and poetic depth. “Fear Us (feat. Joey Bada$$ & RZA)” channels resilience and determination in the face of global turmoil, while “Ghosts of the East” confronts the enduring scars of war and generational trauma. “Noble Lies” questions the fragility of truth in a fractured modern era.
