The legendary Yoshiko Sai, one of Japan’s most iconic voices of the 1970s, is set to have her entire catalog reissued on limited-edition colored vinyl! Following the sold-out 2021 reissues of her classic albums, this highly anticipated collection is finally coming to life in response to overwhelming demand.

This 1978 album stands out as a deeply jazz-infused work, featuring the Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio, and presents a surreal yet dynamic soundscape. It captures the essence of Sai’s artistic transformation—as if she had stepped beyond her inner spiritual world into the vast unknown. Upon its release, Sai declared, “I can no longer write songs that satisfy me,” and set off on a journey around the world.

The album’s poetic lyrics evoke a deep purple hue, a visual theme now beautifully reflected in this faithful reissue.
