- YMO 40th Anniversary Collector’s Vinyl Edition
- Came as boxset
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Yellow Magic Orchestra with the ultimate analog revival of one of their biggest and most beloved pop albums.
As part of the anniversary reissue campaign, all YMO albums are being newly remastered by legendary engineer Bob Ludwig—leading to this highly anticipated final chapter. Following the release of Technodelic, the group took a year-long hiatus, during which each member became deeply involved in songwriting and production across the Japanese pop scene. Upon their return, YMO delivered this chart-topping 1983 release, centered around catchy, Japanese-language pop songs, including the iconic hit “Kimi ni, Mune Kyun.” The album marked their triumphant return to No.1 on the Oricon charts.
Cut in Hollywood by Bernie Grundman Mastering, this classic is reissued in two premium analog editions, offering exceptional sound quality. The album also features guest appearance by Bill Nelson (former Be-Bop Deluxe guitarist).
The Collector’s Vinyl Edition includes a deluxe outer box housing a 2LP 45 RPM pressing, along with an extensive booklet featuring newly written liner notes (over 10,000 characters), interviews with key contributors, rare photographs, and replicas of original production materials.
