A bold new chapter in the Gundam saga, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is the result of a landmark collaboration between Studio Khara (renowned for the Evangelion series) and Sunrise, the legendary home of Gundam. Following its theatrical premiere in January—which became a massive success, grossing approximately 3.4 billion yen and drawing over 2.06 million viewers—the series launched on television in April and quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about anime titles of the spring season.
This special analog soundtrack release features a carefully selected collection of music from the series, including tracks used in the theatrical premiere version of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. The score is composed by Junsei Terui, widely recognized for his work on the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series and the live-action film Showtime Seven, and a member of the bands Haisshinonasa and siraph, in collaboration with Toshiyuki Hasuo, also of
Together, Terui and Hasuo redefine the sound of Gundam, weaving pop sensibilities, electronica, and minimal music into a forward-thinking score that perfectly complements the series’ futuristic vision and emotional depth.
