God of War: Ragnarok is an action adventure game for PlayStation, representing the fifth installment in the God of War series, which began in 2005. The production was developed by the Santa Monica Studio team and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment. 

The plot of God of War: Ragnarok is set several years after the events presented in the previous installment of the series. The title Ragnarok, or the great battle between the Norse gods and giants, which is to lead to the end of the world, is fast approaching. This is evidenced by the fact that the Great Winter (Fimbulvinter) that precedes it has already reached Midgard. Wanting to avoid the inevitable tragedy that will undoubtedly be brought upon them by further confrontations with the Aes, Kratos wants to ensure Atreus' safety at all costs. 

The author of the music is Bear McCreary - an American musician and composer known mainly for his film music, a student of the famous film music master Elmer Bernstein. Bear McCreary is the composer of the soundtrack for the Outlander series and the 4th series of the renewed version of the Battlestar Galactica series. He is also the composer of music for the series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and the series Caprica, The Living Dead, Constantine and Pirates, as well as such films as The Boy, Step Up 3-D, Road of No Return 2, Last Stop, Last Stop II:
