Hamada Kingo first emerged as a member of the folk group Craft in 1974 before launching his solo career on Air Records after the band’s dissolution. Beyond his own acclaimed recordings, he has written more than 200 songs for major Japanese artists, establishing himself as one of the most respected songwriters and musicians of his generation. A skilled multi-instrumentalist proficient in guitar, bass, and keyboards, Hamada continues to be an influential figure in Japanese music.
