A культ collaboration returns in its ultimate analog form—YMO’s iconic project with the legendary comedy unit Snake Man Show is revived for its 40th anniversary.

As part of the Yellow Magic Orchestra anniversary reissue series, all original albums are being newly remastered by acclaimed engineer Bob Ludwig. Originally released in 1980, this standout mini-album gained widespread attention for its unique fusion of YMO’s forward-thinking electronic sound with the surreal and satirical sketches of Snake Man Show (Shuichi Kuwahara, Katsuya Kobayashi, and Masatō Ibu). The result is a playful yet boundary-pushing work that perfectly captures the experimental spirit of the era.

This reissue is cut in Hollywood by Bernie Grundman Mastering and will be available in two high-quality analog editions, delivering exceptional clarity and depth.

The Collector’s Vinyl Edition is presented in a deluxe outer box and includes two 45 RPM 12-inch records, an extensive booklet featuring over 10,000 characters of newly written liner notes and interviews with key contributors, as well as replicas of original production materials. Also included are a replica of the original cardboard packaging and a reproduced sleeve of the U.S. compilation X∞Multiplies.
