50 years have passed since Haruomi Hosono’s solo debut album, HOSONO HOUSE.

The legendary track “Koi wa Momoiro” is now being released as a limited-edition 7-inch analog single!

Originally released on May 25, 1973, HOSONO HOUSE celebrates its 50th anniversary with a series of special releases, including a heavyweight LP faithfully reproducing the original specifications and a repress of HOCHONO HOUSE, the 2019 re-recording in which Hosono himself rearranged, programmed, and engineered the new versions of the album’s songs.

Now, one of the album’s most beloved tracks, “Koi wa Momoiro,” receives its own 7-inch vinyl release.

Released on July 9, Haruomi Hosono’s birthday, Koi wa Momoiro – 50th Anniversary Limited Edition features the original version from HOSONO HOUSE on Side A and the new HOCHONO HOUSE version on Side B. Fifty years after his first solo album, the two versions showcase Hosono’s continuing musical evolution.

The sleeve features artwork representing each version on the front and back, while the record itself is pressed on Clear Vinyl, making this a special collector’s edition 7-inch single.
