13-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga has officially announced her highly anticipated seventh studio album, Mayhem. Speculation about the new release began circulating after cryptic clues appeared on Gaga’s official website, which was later redesigned to reflect the album’s bold new aesthetic.

With Mayhem, Lady Gaga returns to her pop roots, fusing eclectic energy with the fearless artistic vision that has defined her career. The album explores themes of chaos and transformation, celebrating music’s power to unite, provoke, and heal.

“The process of making this album started with my fear of returning to pop—the genre that first made me famous,” Gaga explains. However, Mayhem is far from a simple nostalgia trip. Instead, it reinvents and modernizes her signature sound, drawing from her extensive catalog while introducing a fresh, daring perspective. She describes the album’s creation as “piecing together a shattered mirror: even if it can’t be perfectly restored, something whole and beautiful emerges in its new form.”

Mayhem features 14 tracks, including the lead singles “Disease” and “Die With a Smile”. The album’s executive producers are Lady Gaga, Michael Polansky, and Andrew Watt, with Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein handling production.
