Carefully curated and sequenced by Lorien himself, this double LP presents a definitive selection of highlights from the score, including “Lumière,” “Une vie à peindre,” and the unforgettable main character themes.
Music plays a vital role in shaping the deeply emotional journey of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Much of the score was composed and recorded in Lorien Testard’s home studio, with additional performances by the esteemed Curieux Orchestre captured at Midilive Studios in Paris.
Testard’s debut game score unfolds like a living canvas, perfectly complementing the game’s Belle Époque-inspired world. Leitmotifs such as “Alicia” and “Lumière” are intricately woven throughout the adventure, expressing both the sorrow and hope that define the characters, as well as the radiant beauty of Lumière itself.
At the heart of the soundtrack are the soaring vocal performances of Alice Duport-Percier, whose voice forms the emotional core of the game’s vocal pieces. She is joined by Victor Borba (known for “Bury the Light” from Devil May Cry 5) and mezzo-soprano Axelle Verner.
